Who we are

SJ Marketing Ltd ("we", "us") operates this website at www.sjmarketing.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through it. You can contact us about anything in this policy at sj@sjmarketing.co.uk or by post at 422A Gower Road, Killay, Swansea SA2 7AJ.

What information we collect

When you use our contact form we collect the details you give us: your name, business name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in and your message. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to keep the website running.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your contact details to reply to your enquiry and discuss the services you asked about. Our lawful basis for this under UK GDPR is legitimate interests — responding to an enquiry you chose to send us. If we later agree to work together, we process your details as necessary to perform a contract with you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. Enquiries are stored on our UK-based web hosting and may be forwarded to the tools we use to manage enquiries and email. Providers acting for us only process your data on our instructions.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless you become a client, in which case we keep records for as long as required for accounting and legal obligations.

Your rights

  • Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email sj@sjmarketing.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only storage we use in your browser is strictly necessary: it remembers your cookie-banner choice, and a login cookie is set for site administrators only. Because these are essential, they do not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). If we add optional cookies in future (for example analytics), we will update this policy and ask for your consent through the cookie banner first. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Choices" link in the footer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
